If asked, Gabriel will simply tell you he's a Man of God, a servant, a believer who's dedicated his life to God Almighty. That is, unless he decides to tell you straight off that he's an angel. It's a modification of the truth, but Gabriel's been around long enough to know telling people he is an angel given flesh would just make people stare at him as if he were crazy, and using the term 'halfbreed' would result in the same kind of response (not that he will - being called a halfbreed is insultingand it stings).
Speaking of crazy...
Gabriel's been feeling numb lately (say, past few hundred, maybe thousand years). He sees how people have stopped caring about God, how fewer and fewer of His most beloved Children turn their backs to Him, how they cease to believe, how they mouth 'Our Father' without love, without trust and faith and hope in their Creator.
Apathy and disrespect are what Gabriel loathes the most out of all the symptoms Mankind shows of growing up. Distrust, losing hope, growing jaded in the face of science - that's part of growing up, and Gabriel knows this. However, growing up shouldn't entail losing faith.
And yet...looking at all the people he meets, day in and day out, there are so few who truly believe. It's a rare find indeed, to come across people who genuinely want to better themselves in order to make the world a better place. No one cares anymore.
Selfish endeavours. Short-sightedness. Apathy. Depression. Ego-centrism. Megalomania. Child-molesters, rapists, murderers, arsonists, adulterers, nazis and racists and Ku Klux Klan and Hitler and...
No. Gabriel knows this cannot continue to spread. It can't be allowed to run rampant until it infests the very core of Man. It must be stopped.
And Gabriel knows just how to stop it. He's been planning it for centuries.
Physical characteristics of note: While Gabriel does have wings, they won't be immediately noticeable for any baseline human being. In fact, you either need to be a member of some pantheon or have a sixth sense/second sight/whathaveyou to even know they're there.
Occasionally, Gabriel's eyes may glow a dull amber, but again, unless you are sensitive to such things, the fireworks will largely go without notice.
For the keen-eyed, Gabriel does have one physical characteristic that even mortals can see. He lacks all those little lines, from laughter, tears, any range of expression and movement that you expect from a human face and body. Some may find it eerie, but that's the way it is. He doesn't age, and his face shows no signs of ever having lived. Even his hands may seem too smooth, if paid attention to.
One last thing. There's a small gap between his upper front teeth.
That is all.
((OOC CONTINUATION OF THE BIO ABOVE:
For all of you who were there that night, in the pool, with the Spear and Lucifer and Mammon... That all happened to this here Gabriel too. But God doesn't take kindly to Lucifer burning the wings off one of his angels, just because he could.
God decides to give Gabriel a second chance, to prove that he can find other, less...extreme ways of bringing out Mankind's nobler aspects. He gives Gabriel his wings back, wipes his memory clean of everything that happened after the Spear of Longinus was recovered.
Unknowingly, Gabriel is being tested, and though it may hurt God, if Gabriel doesn't better himself this time around, well... God will have to do something about it.
God works in mysterious ways...

molotovmartinis that "the jig is up, couldn't hold Constantine's attention, Spear of Destiny useless et.c et.c". This makes Gabriel a dull paranoid boy, like all work and no play does for others. If this means he'll have to come up with another scheme and plan it out over a thousand years, so be it. But for now, he'll simply watch and wait in patience. If the Spear of Destiny is found once more... If it isn't? Well. We'll see.))
